Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize Selection Criteria

Prize Summary The Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize Selection Committee (hereafter referred to as "Committee") selects one presentation to receive the prize from those made at the annual meeting of the Japanese Society for Bioinformatics.
Prize Eligibility Presentations made at the annual meeting whose primary presenter is a Regular or Student Member are eligible for the Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize.
Committee The Committee shall be appointed by the Chairman of the Board, who will also appoint the Committee Chair.

[Composition of the Committee]

  1. The Committee appointed by the Chairman of the Board shall consist of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, a Board Member, and an editor from "Genome Informatics".
  2. This committee composition is applicable as of December 17, 2001.
Selection
  1. Committee members present at the annual meeting may recommend candidates for the prize from among the presentations made at the annual meeting.
  2. After deliberation among the Committee members, the Committee Chair shall select a presentation among the candidates to receive the Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize.
Prize Awards A Prize certificate, prize money of thirty thousand yen, and a subscription to the next year's "Bioinformatics" shall be awarded to the winner.
Other This prize is made possible by grant from Oxford University Press and services provided free of charge.
These criteria are applicable as of December 17, 2001.
